Before moving to America I stayed for a year in Hong Kong. It’s on the completely different side of life but I had the pleasure of being outsourced from another company. Life there was good but short. I had to work hard as well, I learned the Hong Kong and was being prepared for the New York mentality. Staying safe was important. I had a great Hong Kong insurance which took care of me very well and my company provided me all the benefits I needed.
After Hong Kong I learned a lot about the kitchen and restaurant business. All this motivated me to follow my dream and going to New York City, which I did in the end.
Food is important but even to me, it comes on a second place. If you food is ok, but the restaurant is cozy, friendly and most important clean clients will already come to you.
